SMS contents only 160 characters of single colour and font and it is exact opposite of rich TV and its picture and sound percepts. When a campaign is well planned, mobile devices do not lose the advantage of high impact (target audience´s effective reach is near to 100%), coverage and quick response in comparison to TV.

The biggest advantage of course consists in one-to-one relationship with users who do not get their mobile devices away. From effectiveness and total advertising costs point of view a location-based SMS campaign is the winner. You just do not impulsive purchase according to spot seen at home. As a marketing and sales promotion is cheap SMS simply priceless.
